Forest School Day October 11th, 2019

A dedicated annual event in which everyone involved in Forest School can CONNECT, SHARE and CELEBRATE their achievements.

We invite you

We invite you to join the second annual celebration of UK Forest School on or around October 11th, 2019. The aim is to create joyful and playful celebrations across the UK.  Visit www.forestschoolday.org to find out more and join in.

In 2018 UK Forest School had its 25th birthday. To mark the occasion an annual Forest School Day was created which recognises the achievements of Forest Schools and their leaders around the United Kingdom.

Following the success of this first year a social enterprise was created by Katey Hugi, Jon Cree and Jo Phillips. The aim is to provide a platform so we can connect our community in an annual celebration, share our love of forest school, and celebrate in a forest school way. Whether your connection to forest school is as a forest school leader, helper, parent, grandparent, pupil, teacher or helper.

We did it!

The first national Forest School Day last year was a great success, with over 3,500 people visiting the FSD website in its first 3 days of launch and over 200 individuals signing up. Celebrations, the Forest School way, were held over the UK and people shared details of their celebrations through our website, Instagram and Facebook pages.
