This year we are looking forward to celebrating Forest School Day for the third time. Last year was a great success with celebrations being held in 14 UK counties. We are grateful to everyone who was involved in such a brilliant day.
We have listened to your feedback, we have made it easier to join in and we have also gone global!
We have been contacted by international Forest Schools to join in including forest school communities in Canada, America and the Netherlands.
And we say brilliant! the more the merrier, everyone is welcome.
Connect with the Forest School Community
Whether you are leader, parent, or woodland owner share your love of forest school and connect with others. Post a “Forest School Hand Heart” photo on social media. #iloveforestschool, #forest schoolday. Or add a FSD facebook frame.
Share your forest school story
Tell people about your forest school on forest school day. Take time and reflect on your forest school story. Use FSD as an opportunity to share with your local community what forest school means to you and how they can help.
Hold a celebration
Hold a Forest School Day celebration with your local forest school group with hapa zome bunting, hot chocolate, songs and games. Post your celebration videos, pictures and comments to #iloveforestschool, #forestschoolday
One of Forest School Day objectives is to raise awareness of the forest school ethos, values and the best practice. Let’s see if we can capture how much forest school is loved. We would love to see how you celebrate. On facebook remember to tag us @forestschoolday and twitter #forestschoolday or #iloveforestschool on your celebration photos.
