Ways of sharing
I have been talking about and sharing the Forest School Day idea all year, to pretty much everyone I have met. I have been overwhelmed by the supportive response I have received. People seem to love the idea, invariably they then go onto tell me beautiful tales of their children or grandchildren, or friends children going to a forest school. And how much they really love it. It is through one of these chats I spoke to Zoe Kenworthy, within minutes of us talking she had offered to help. Hear her forest school story and how she has helped Forest School Day here.

An idea to share your Forest School DAy celebration

Thomas, my son, has just started at secondary school but he still raves about Katey and his forest school experiences. I clearly remember the day our Thomas came home, last year, raving about his forest school experience at St Andrews CofE Primary, Much Hadham. Thomas enjoys learning at school but he definitely thrives within an outdoor environment, and therefore the Forest sessions really helped build his self-esteem through his enjoyment of make-believe games in the woodland setting with his peers.

The use of estate boards
Personally, anything to encourage our children to get away from computers/games is positive. Therefore when I heard that Katey was setting up Forest Day School I really wanted to help promote her the Forest School Day ethos and venture. Which I have been able to do, through my own new company Patrick Oliver Herts & Essex Limited – the local online Bishop’s Stortford based estate agency. Therefore we have strategically placed our boards advertising the Forest Day event in Bishops Stortford and the surrounding villages.

Inspiration
Thank you Zoe, the boards have been a great hit! Estate boards are a fantastic way to share that your school/forest school are celebrating Forest School by joining in on October 12th Forest School Day event. Some estate agencies will even give you a donation for every board you put up. A great way to raise funds for your local forest school.
